Dr. Behr GmbH prepares its 2024 carbon footprint in accordance with international standards.

Dr. Behr GmbH recently prepared its Corporate Carbon Footprint for the 2024 financial year based on the standards of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.

With its greenhouse gas inventory, the company aims to transparently record emissions, identify reduction potential and implement further climate protection measures in the future.

In addition, the calculated emissions were offset through certified climate protection projects.

Compared with previous years, the scope of the assessment was significantly expanded. For the first time, extensive Scope 3 categories were included, such as transport, business travel, employee commuting, as well as selected purchased goods and services.

Both direct emissions from the company’s own operations and indirect emissions along the value chain were recorded.

The largest share is attributable to Scope 3 emissions, meaning indirect emissions outside the company’s direct operations. Upstream transport and distribution were particularly relevant in this regard.

Direct emissions from Scope 1 were mainly generated by the vehicle fleet and heat supply.

In Scope 2, no additional market-based emissions were recorded due to the use of green electricity.

By continuously preparing its Corporate Carbon Footprint, Dr. Behr GmbH is taking another step toward sustainable corporate development and greater transparency in climate protection.
