Our processes are continually subjected to strict inspections – for your safety. The certificates stand for reliability, responsibility and trust. And they are clear a distinction to our competitors.

Organic labelling according to the EU Organic Regulation
“Credible eco products” – the Gesellschaft für Ressourcenschutz mbH (GfRS) based in Göttingen, Germany is committed to check and assure these.
All of our current portfolio’s herbal raw materials labelled with the EU organic logo are certified by GfRS, and we are authorised to trade organic products in accordance with EU Regulation No. 834/2007.
Some of our products are also approved as animal feed according to EU Regulation No. 183/2005.
As trader Dr. Behr is the connecting link between raw material manufacturer and marketer of final products.
In order not to interrupt this “chain” and be able to supply manufacturers of kosher or halal certified products, we obtained the according certificates as well:
Halal
In compliance with Islamic law, Dr. Behr is halal certified by m-haditec GmbH & Co KG for “Natural Spices Halal, Seasonings and Herbs Halal, Additives Halal und Merchandise Halal”. Certification is done following a proper check of the ingredients and an extensive inspection of the production facilities.
Kosher
Once per year, the London-based Beth Din Kashrut Division (KLBD) ascertains that the goods traded by Dr. Behr meet the specifications.

Green electricity
Dr. Behr uses electricity from 100 % renewable energy sources only.
